Are These The Reasons You Haven’t Tried CBD Yet?

CBD has become one of the most popular products on the market today, and with good reasons, as numerous studies have highlighted the potential benefits of the compound. However, CBD oil facts can be hard to come by, and given the disinformation available in today’s society, there are plenty of reasons for confusion when it comes to the truth about CBD. Thankfully, CBD info can be found if you look close enough. As such, here are some CBD facts that can hopefully answer your questions about CBD.

I’m worried about CBD drug interactions

Every supplement that you take has the potential to cause a negative interaction with your body because of other medication that you may be taking, and CBD does have drug interactions with certain substances. However, CBD has been around for decades, and many questions about drug interactions have been largely addressed. Do your research and determine if you are on any medication that may cause a problem with CBD. Furthermore, you should speak with your doctor before taking CBD, as they will know what medications you are on and if CBD will be safe for you to take.

CBD oil is just like marijuana

This is one of the most common myths about CBD, and it is also one of the easiest to disprove. CBD is nothing like marijuana, and it cannot get you high, as it lacks the THC component necessary to do so. THC is short for tetrahydrocannabinol, and this is the compound in marijuana that is responsible for intoxication. Most marijuana now available has around 20% THC, and CBD, when sold legally, has no more than .3% THC at the absolute most. This amount is far too low to get you intoxicated.

CBD oil is addictive

Nothing could be further from the truth. As noted by numerous reports, including from the World Health Organization, CBD oil is not habit-forming at all. This is largely because, as noted above, it does not produce any sort of high or intoxication. As such, it contains no addictive quantities. Furthermore, individuals can safely consume large amounts of CBD without overdosing or suffering from any sort of abuse.

CBD oil has no medical benefit

The FDA has found that there is not enough research, as of yet, to say that CBD has medical benefits for a variety of areas. However, studies have found evidence to suggest that CBD can be beneficial in a variety of areas, including pain relief, mood improvement, and more. This is not to say that its medical benefit has been proven, and more studies are needed, but there may be evidence to show CBD’s potential to help humans. Furthermore, CBD-based medication is available for seizure treatment in children.

CBD is newly legal, and its popularity has led to a massive uptick in research about the substance’s benefits. Thankfully, science and time will address many of these misconceptions, and we can likely look forward to more accurate medical information about the substance becoming available in the future.
